We are thrilled to announce that Land & Life won a Social Impact Excellence Award for the foundation’s Pad Mad menstrual health work in Kenya. The Minor Sustainability Awards are an annually awarded prize given out at the Minor Awards event which has been running for over a decade. This is an opportunity for each Minor business unit to showcase their sustainability work, and more specifically to show measurable impact and ’shared value’ benefiting the environment and local communities.

Commenting on the award, John Roberts, Group Director for Sustainability and Conservation at Minor Hotels remarked “What the judges were most impressed with, was not only the reusable and biodegradable nature of the pads but that they were employing 33 women in their production and raising school attendance for girls on their period from 19 to 100%”.
