Loisaba Conservancy has teamed up with Plastiki Rafiki to provide thousands of 100% recycled plastic Rhino Flashers. The Rhino Flashers will cover some 52 kilometres of new fencing which has been recently erected to help protect the rhinos that are being re-introduced to the area later this year. Not quite as visible as regular larger livestock fencing, this new boundary is designed to prevent movement of rhinos out of the sanctuary, whilst still ensuring the free movement of most other animals. The purpose of the rhino flashers is to add contrast and movement to the fencing around Loisaba to deter wildlife from running into it and causing damage.

The organisation has been busy already making over 9000 rhino flashers from over a ton of discarded plastic and 20kgs of Tetrapack collected from the environment.
