Kilindi Zanzibar, known to many as the perfect romantic getaway on the paradise spice island of Zanzibar, has just received the accolade of appearing on the front cover of Condé Nast’s international publication ‘Traveller’, March 2012 issue.
The image shown is of the view from one of the private Pavilions overlooking the sparkling Indian Ocean waters at Kilindi Zanzibar.
Inside ‘Traveller’ Magazine, there is an in depth review of several boutique properties in Zanzibar, including a feature on Kilindi itself. Lisa Grainger, the Condé Nast journalist who visited the property describes at length the ‘delicious meals’ and the ‘motivated, smiley and friendly’ staff, as well as the mix of contemporary and traditional Zanzibari furnishings creating an eclectic and original décor.
Kilindi is indeed a unique hotel, a true retreat for those who wish to ‘kick-back’ and relax. As highlighted in the ‘Traveller’ this property is a blend of minimalism and superior service. Each Pavilion room has its own dedicated Pavilion Attendant helping each couple to define their experience as they want, when they want. For example, couples can enjoy dining anywhere they choose at Kilindi– their room, the main house, even a table set on the beach at sunset.
But Kilindi is far more than a boutique hotel. It gives more by going back to the basics of hospitality. That is why Kilindi Zanzibar is now one of the most sought after boutique hotels in the Indian Ocean.
