The recently opened Serengeti Pioneer Camp, the latest addition to the Elewana Collection family of bush camps, has just been visited by the annual migration for the first time.
Recent guests at Pioneer Camp witnessed first-hand thousands of zebra and wildebeest passing close by in a spectacular example of the wonder of the annual migration of over 2 million animals.
One such guest, David Campbell from Scotland commented,
"…to see and hear the animals on their epic journey north is a truly amazing sight. Our Camp is so well located with incomparable viewing and vantage points, it is a veritable theatre of entertainment for anyone who wishes to be up close to the fauna of the Serengeti."
This 12-tented camp – which includes one family tented double room suite – affords dramatic views across the Serengeti plains, Lake Magadi and the Moru Kopjes. Elewana’s two camps within the Serengeti – Serengeti Migration Camp being the second further to the north - now allow up to 90% coverage of the National Park, thereby reducing drive times, improving access and maximising the game-viewing experience for all who visit.
